Comcast unveils its new wifi extender product titled the xFi Pods.  The main role of the product is to address weak wifi signals due to building layouts and infrastructures.  The move comes as expected with its investment in Plume which creates such devices.  But how does that differ from the Comcast deal? By partnering with Comcast the device allows its self to connect with Comcast gateways for the user. It uses the gateways monitor and optimize the wifi connections. With self-monitoring capabilities and self-diagnostics built into the device. The Comcast xFi pods can be bought from comcast.com  or  here .1526954432_541_comcasts-mesh-wi-fi-system-xfi-pods-launches-nationwide-techcrunchComcast Launches xFi
