LEGENDARY Streetwear Artist KAWS Previews “Waiting” Sculpture in Detroit

Brian Donnelly ( a.k.a. KAWS ) the legendary streetwear artist previews pictures on his Instagram of a new sculpture on the outside of Detroit’s Library Street Collective museum. Titled “WAITING”, the sculpture is a 17 ft  piece in the artist’s trademarked “Companion” style figures.  In the Library’s press release it depicts the work as “a parent and child in a moment of pause,”. This magnificent piece is cast in bronze, then after its polished up with a jet-black patina finish. KAWS will be hosting a public viewing for his piece “WAITING” this Tuesday, May 22, 6-8 p.m.
